About the Hiring Team
Job Description
- Define the strategy, structure, and technical direction for Rula’s cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure that the platform remains reliable, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.
- Partner closely with Product, Application, Data, and Security teams to deliver modern DevOps practices and world-class developer experiences.
- Mentor and guide engineering managers, helping them grow into strong technical leaders.
- Collaborate with other engineering leaders to ensure alignment and drive the best outcomes for Rula as a whole.
- Leading through others, empowering managers and technical experts to do their best work.
- Building high-performing teams with the right skills and vision for the future.
- You know how to balance mentorship, management, and execution, and you thrive in fast-growing environments where collaboration is key.
Qualifications
- You have extensive experience in software engineering, at least 15 years, with more than 10 of those years spent in leadership as a people manager.
- Proven leadership in DevOps and cloud-focused teams with 10+ years leading areas such as Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Developer Experience, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- Cloud expertise with at least 8 years of hands-on working experience with cloud providers, especially AWS.
- Experience in managing managers, not just individual contributors, but guiding leaders who drive large-scale initiatives.
- Cloud cost management knowledge, including hands-on experience with FinOps practices.
- Strong DevOps culture champion with proven ability to not just implement, but truly embed DevOps principles
- Proven success in overseeing and evolving large-scale cloud environments.
Preferred but Not Required
