You will be working alongside design and engineering managers, who will support you throughout. This role offers a very broad scope, which can be limited only by your ambition. Hence, you will work to improve the general process in which the user-side engineers translate into code. This role involves a significant impact across all Airbnb product features and teams. It is very necessary that every system update remain stable and secure.

In this role, you are to work closely with web engineers, other Android engineers, and iOS engineers to build out systems and software solutions that will enhance the engineering process of new features.

Identifying Design and engineering product development challenges to consistently improve development effectiveness.
Supporting product engineers through team gatherings, knowledge resources, training sessions, technical tutorials, and so on.
Enable Android engineers to build a user-friendly experience using DLS Building Blocks and new UI utilities.
Improve DLS with versatility and a lasting growth capacity that fits the business needs.
Explore new product innovation by driving investments into new engineering strength.
Work together with iOS and web team members to deliver common goals.
Strengthen technical expertise in leadership among the team through productive partnership with peer ICs and coaching.
Support the team's development strategy to improve tools that extend with design and product objectives.

Criteria For Android Engineer Position at DLS Foundation

You have 2+ years of industrial experience in developing consumer-friendly Android applications and design systems at scale.
You have a passion for UI and Motion animation development.
You are mastery in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
You can track records of leading projects that require strong cross-functional collaboration with the design and product counterparts
You have experience in working with Figma and other relevant tools for design.
You live in a state where Airbnb, Inc., has a registered body
